Drawings 1–30 — January to March 2007
John Gordon began this series on January 31, 2007, making one small pen and ink drawing per day. The first thirty drawings were made on Strathmore watercolor paper, ranging in size from 4" × 4" to 8.5" × 5.5". The subjects move freely from invented creatures and classical references to landscapes and personal symbols — each resolved in a single sitting. Drawing 5 was made on both sides of the same sheet; the reverse side, Special Face, appears here as well.
